Formed In Early 1996 In Western Sydney By Four Like-minded Friends, The Compadres CMC Were Launched Quietly, With No Back Patch’s And Even Less Fanfare.
Originally The Compadres (CMC) Christian Motorcycle Club had no name, they were just four friends, three on Japanese bikes and one on a Harley who sought a deeper meaning to their lives – lives that had been touched by the almighty.
The latter part of 1996 saw a dozen members, each proudly wearing the top rocker and bottom rocker – the centre patch didn’t reach its final design until the end of ’97. During this period and up to 2004, points in time the club was struggling to retain members, being a true Christian is harder than some think and quite a few came with good intentions, talked the talk but soon ceased to walk the walk – so either left or were shown the door. The club was restructured and re-launched for want of a better word (although to be honest it have never really ceased to exist), with the same top and bottom rocker but the original centre patch being slightly modified – the nails having distinctive pointed instead of flattened heads and the inclusion of the CMC and 1 GOD square. This was followed soon after with a chapter in Adelaide, and then Melbourne.
Where do we go from here? Only God knows, but one thing is for sure and that is we’re here to stay and to spread the good word.
God Bless
