Deguello MC (USA)

USA Texas Houston

” El Deguello” is a bugle call, notable in Texas for it’s use in the attack by the Mexican Army lead by Santa Anna during the 1836 Siege and Battle of the Alamo. “Deguello” is the first person singular present tense of “degollar” a verb that means “to cut the throat” in Spanish .More figuratively it means ” Give no Quarter” and in Spanish history became associated with the battle music played by the Spanish army attacking their foe. A red flag was also raised to indicate that their intention was complete destruction of the enemy without mercy. Rumour has it that when the Mexican buglers played it to begin the attack at the Alamo that Davy Crockett jumped up on top of the Alamo with his fiddle and played it back to the imposing army.
