Hillbillies MCC was started in 1999 by a group including brothers James and Kenny McColm.
Their idea was for regular ride-outs by a group of like-minded friends.
After a day on the hills deerstalking, Kenny McColm remarked that they looked ‘like a bunch of hillbillies’.
The name stuck and the crossed guns were adopted along with the deer’s head as the club badge.
