Coggeshall Bastards (CB’s) MCC/MC from Essex, large infamous club formed in the late 1960’s and remained together through ’till the early/mid 1990’s when they went their own separate ways, with some joining the Angels and others the Outlaws.
Associated clubs included the Billericay Bastards Essex, Suffolk Bastards in Sudbury, Iron Cross Club from Clacton Essex, Filthy Few from Essex & East Coast & the Dirty Dozen from Harwich Essex.
Coggeshall Bastards

The original CB’s & founders got together due partly to battles with Braintree & Colchester bikers.
They used to party in a local barn and among others the London Road Rats MC would party & ride along with them.

Edna’s Cafe used by locals and lorry drivers who were using the main A120 which ran past right outside in the days before the A12 by-pass was built. This cafe was the first meeting place of the original CB’s, and as time went on you could often find them in The Bungalow and Romaines cafes at Marks Tey, Colchester, Essex.

Jacqueline……I know your Ex from the old days 1970’s and may i add still talk to him on the bastard sight……I was very friendly with Lurch, Nobby Harper Syd Sloggett, Wog, Les Bakker, Rag’s, Tramp Butch, Dave, Pete, Tim, etc etc to name but a few…..We were all members of the Bastard Family. The 3 founding groups were the Coggeshall Bastards, ( Colchester ) Dirty Dozen (Harwich) and the Iron Cross Club ( Clacton) After awhile other chapters were formed…..The Billericay Bastards, Suffolk Bastards, Filthy Few, Galleywood. We also had some members in London and Stevenage Herts during the 70….The Stevenage lads had a run in with the HA where an HA was stabbed to death and around 20 odd member from both side were sentenced for affray and one sentenced for Murder.

Hi I all so have found memories of the F,f .east coast ( clacton ) from end of the 70-early 80 ‘s and the pubiquitous next to the cop shop lol and being invited to the presidents house .well was hanging around with his brother who was a member off the ncc at the time .weven met up at Rougham tree fair .lol .always wounderd what became of them .but that was part of the beginning of a lifetime of biker living lol.and still at it lol abate in a slightly less now as 30 yrs spent as London Despatch rider and accociated injury s have slowed me down a bit now lol love and respect p.s.still remember the mirror in the presidents house with the club coulors engraved in it above the fire place .
I have many brilliant memories of all the great guys and hangers-on with the FILTHY FEW in Clacton (late 70’s) – probably the only bikers club in the world to be next door to the local cop shop. My over-riding memory was going to the President’s house a number of times for a chat and seeing his new baby with the finest clothes, pram and toys. All the children of all the bikers were looked after so well as a true family brotherhood. Amazing times, amazing memories and I wish I was old enough at the time to have had a go at earning the FF colours. Thanks guys, you were (are, for those still living) the best.
Hi I think my dad used to run with this club his name was Peter Parris lived in Clacton at the time
