Dead Men Riding (DMR) is a Christian Biker Ministry with members from all walks of life out of South Africa.
The name was registered in the August 2002 edition of Bike SA and started activities in 2003.
When we are truly dead to the world there is nothing the world can do to us. It is impossible for a dead man to fear, to be offended, or to feel remorse because he loses some of his possessions.
To the degree that we fear the loss of our possessions or positions, that is probably the degree to which we are still not dead to these things. The enemy uses fear to bind us just as the Lord uses faith to set us free.
We are normal people who enjoy the pleasures of biking and everything it involves. We enjoy having fun and living life to the fullest.
Our colours are made up of two interlinked Triquetra’s (Try–ket-ra).
The triquetra is a Celtic cross that symbolizes the Triune God – The Father, The Son and The Holy Spirit.
The red triquetra represent God. Each one of the three triangles respectively represents the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
The middle of the triquetra where all three “meet” represents the Triune God – Three distinct persons but one God.
The blue triquetra represent man. The Bible teaches that man is Body, Soul and Spirit. Each one of the three triangles respectively represents the body, the soul and the spirit.
The middle of the triquetra where all three “meet” represents man – Three distinct faculties but one man. As we cannot live without God in our lives the red triquetra surrounds the blue triquetra. Man is dependant on God and without God we are and can do nothing.
